Question by Naina Basu: Where in Kolkata can I learn jewellery designing?
I love to design jewellery pieces in leisure, till now I have only designed costume ones made of leather, wood and glass beads etc. Should I study jewellery designing? Is that a good career option? Where in Kolkata can I enroll?

Hey Naina it’s a wonderful career, those days when only options in front of youth were medicine and engineering fields are long gone. I feel now Indian youth is ready to take up new and unique careers.
There are many good jewellery designing institutes in India where you can apply. If you want one at Kolkata, then SIG or Sawansukha Institute of Gemology and Jewellery Design is one option. I have heard that it’s really excellent.
